The great outdoors
Sick and tired of those large inner city hostels where you have to do everything inside? Feel like you are staying in a clinically run hospital? Dreaming of the great outdoors? That is the question. No stay at Glebe Village is complete without experiencing at least one meal from Sydney's famous Glebe Point Road. There is a selection of almost any cuisine that you can think of - Indian, Thai, Italian, Nepalese, Spanish, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Vegetarian and Vegan, a selction of modern cafes, and of course good old pub food.
Rather cook on your own? Glebe Village also has a fully equipped self-catering kitchen for you.
Yes, sometimes smaller is better!
What is the best reason for staying in smaller hostels like Glebe Village? Yes it is quite likely the queue for the showers will be shorter. No they aren't more expensive, and yes the staff will probably remember your name and get to know you. All good answers, but Glebe Village is most famous for being a friendly, social hostel, where people from all over the world meet and experience the time of their lives.
A diverse set of sights.
Take a walk down Glebe Point Road... the village is close to alternative markets, cafes offering cheap eats, bars, bookshops, affordable clothes and craft stores. Keep in mind Sydney central is only 10 minutes away. For those who want to venture further the daily sight-seeing tours include Palm Beach, Bondi Beach & The Olympic site.
